In what ways does the author, Tara Haelle, identify and acknowledge the audience that was attracted to and sharing the documentary? What was unique, interesting, or surprising about this audience – at least in Haelle’s opinion?
While the science in the video has been determined to be errant, why were so many people attracted to, curious and uncertain about the video?
Haelle describes the use of rhetorical appeals. How were these appeals used in the video and why specifically does she think they were effective in persuading an audience?
With all of this in mind, why is it important to be aware of the rhetorical appeals and keep them in mind when we engage in any type of text or media?
